So you found your way to the “Chris Tinney” page.  You most likely googled “Chris Tinney”.

I hope you follow me on Facebook as I tour America on the Peace Tour and follow our videos on our YouTube Account.

Spread Peace USA Peace Tour on Facebook

We’ll be on the road until July 15th, 2011.

This year is proving to be a year of miracles. Since 2008 (when we married) Tysha and I decided to live a life of service. What that means has changed over the past few years, but it has always boiled down to asking ourselves how can we use our talents to help the most people each day when we wake up.

In 2008 we headed out on the first Peace Tour on behalf of The Peace Church

We enjoyed visiting communities and cities across America hosting volunteer days and learning how people were making a difference in their communities.

In 2008, Spread Peace Chapters remained loose knit groups of people getting together “when they could”. It wasn’t until Spread Peace Street Teams from RenoPerris and Long Beach started posting videos on facebook that support really began to grow.

Tysha and I spent most of 2009 and part of 2010 working with the Reno chapter.

We were always keenly aware we lacked the funding, organizational structure and experienced staff to grow the “Spread Peace” idea into powerful force for good. We tried a lot of things the past few years. At one point we even opened a restaurant with friends to help fund the local chapter. That restaurant didn’t work out and along with the restaurant went the money to help fund the local chapter but all of this was critical in shaping us into who we are today and and there are now groups and individuals in Reno helping our homeless friends that were never there before. We want to make that happen all over the USA!

One of the things we learned is it takes a lot to grow a non profit into a large, national organization. We also learned we can’t be on the streets every day (like we want to be) and also manage day to day operations of a non profit. That’s why I’m so happy to now be part of Inspired Life Centers.  Inspired Life Centers has been a 501c3 Non Profit since 1977 and has created Spread Peace USA as a new charitable program of Inspired Life.

Tysha and I will serve as National Street Team Leaders for Spread Peace USA and focus on being out on the streets helping those in need and bringing awareness to the challenges facing the underprivileged and our homeless friends. We leave next week on The Peace Tour and will be visiting Spread Peace Chapters around America. We’ll be posting videos in hopes of inspiring people to consider who they might be able to help in their community.

We hope to demonstrate the is no such thing as “big” or “small” when it comes to helping another in need.

There is no big or small when it comes to giving a hug to someone that feels unloved or forgotten.

To the hungry, that sandwich can mean the world.

To those feeling unloved, a smile or a hug can change their life.

I’ve hugged people on the street for the very first time and watched as they broke out into tears as I embraced them.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen grown men tear up as they thanked me for a modest peanut butter and jelly sandwich or bag lunch.

As we travel around America we’ll make videos and introduce you to amazing people making a real difference in their community. We hope to inspire you into taking action. The worlds problems really could be solved with simply the difference between what people “do” and what they “could do”.

We hope in a few years Spread Peace USA by Inspired Life centers has resulted in thousands of hungry people being given a meal that might otherwise not have had one and and thousands of our homeless friends on the streets being  given coats, tents and supplies to make it through the winter.

Thank you for your support and love.

This is the new Facebook Page for Spread Peace USA.

I appreciate you joing and sharing with your friends.

My intention is to have 5,000 people following the tiour in the next two weeks.

We only have 200 now so it’s a big push.

The more people we have following the more people we can get to show up at events when we’re in their city.
